About Yuantong Town

Yuantong Town is affiliated to Chongzhou City, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. It is located in the northwest of Chongzhou City, adjacent to Guansheng Town in the east, Jinjiang Township and Daoming Town in the south, Huaiyuan Town in the west, facing Hejiajia across the Xihe River in the northwest, and connected to Shangyuan Township, Anlong Town and Liujie Town in Dujiangyan City in the north. The town People's Government is located 11 kilometers away from Chongzhou City. The total area of the region is 48.48 square kilometers. (The combined area of the original Yuantong Town and the original Gongyi Township) As of the end of 2019, the registered population in the jurisdiction of Yuantong Town was 35,389.
