About Jinan Zoo
Jinan Zoo, formerly known as Jinniu Park, was later called Jinniu Zoo. It opened on May 1, 1960 and was renamed Jinan Zoo on September 8, 1989. In 1995, it was named one of the "Top Ten Zoos in the Country" by the Ministry of Construction and the China Zoo Association. It is located at No. 87 Jilu Road, Tianqiao District, Jinan City, Shandong Province, covering an area of about 60 hectares. Jinan Zoo is divided into animal exhibition area, entertainment and play area, science education area, catering service area and other areas. There is an artificial lake in the park, and there are supporting service facilities such as an amusement park, an aquarium, a science museum, a tea house, a food stand, and a restaurant.
