About Longkou Zoological and Botanical Garden
Longkou Zoological and Botanical Garden is located on Xufu Street, Xufu Street, Longkou City, Shandong Province. It is the first large-scale comprehensive park in Jiaodong Peninsula that integrates animal and plant viewing, recreational facilities experience and youth science education. In 2018, it was rated as a national AAA tourist attraction. The park covers a large area and is divided into six major areas: herbivore breeding area, carnivore breeding area, free-range interactive area, waterfowl lake, white bird garden and children's pet area. It raises more than 200 species of domestic and foreign rare animals such as giant pandas, Siberian tigers, and Asian elephants. Among them, the giant pandas introduced in 2025 make it one of the few institutions in the Jiaodong Peninsula with the qualification to raise giant pandas.
