About Danzhou Ancient Town
Danzhou Ancient Town is located in Danzhou Town, Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County, Liuzhou City, Guangxi Province. Situated on a river island in the middle of the Rongjiang River, it serves as a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and a national model site for agricultural tourism. The town covers an area of approximately 1.6 square kilometers and is open daily from 08:00 to 20:00. Founded in the 19th year of the Wanli reign during the Ming Dynasty (1591), Danzhou served as the seat of Huaiyuan County for more than 340 years; in 1932, the county seat was relocated to Guoyi Town. The ancient town is surrounded by water on all sides, with National Highway 209 running through its entire territory. It connects to the Zhiliu Railway Line and the Rongjiang Waterway to the west, is 140 kilometers south of Liuzhou, and 55 kilometers north of Sanjiang County Town.
