About Shandong Art Museum
Shandong Art Museum is located at No. 11777 Jingshi Road, Lixia District, Jinan City. It was established in July 1977. It is a public welfare cultural institution directly under the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism. It shoulders the important functions of collecting modern and contemporary fine arts, conducting academic research, holding exhibitions, conducting aesthetic education, and organizing external exchanges. The new museum opened to the public on October 12, 2013. According to the official website of Shandong Art Museum in July 2020, Shandong Art Museum has a collection of traditional Chinese paintings, oil paintings, prints, sculptures, mixed-material works, watercolor and pastel paintings, sketches, folk art works, calligraphy, seal cutting and other collections.
