About Daming Lake Underwater World
Daming Lake Underwater World is located in the Daming Lake Scenic Area in Lixia District, Jinan City, Shandong Province. It is a modern marine life exhibition hall designed by the Australian Oceanarium professional team and combines classical architectural style with modern technology. It is the first large-scale marine life theme exhibition hall in Jinan City. The museum started construction on October 26, 2012 and was completed on June 26, 2013. The total investment was nearly 100 million yuan and the construction period lasted 8 months. It has two floors of underground and above-ground exhibition areas and houses about 500 species of marine life. The "Minghu Dragon Palace" theme renovation project will be launched in November 2025, deeply integrating Daming Lake culture and marine elements.
