About Yulong River
The Yu Long River is the longest tributary of the Lijiang River within Yangshuo County, stretching 43.5 kilometers in length and flowing through five towns and townships. With a drainage area of 158.47 square kilometers, it is often referred to as the “Little Lijiang.” The river’s course retains its pristine natural beauty; from Yu Long Bridge to Gongnong Bridge, a 15.36-kilometer stretch features 28 weirs and dams. The riverbed ranges in width from 38 to 61 meters, with water depths of 0.5 to 2 meters. On both banks are ancient bridges from the Ming and Qing dynasties, such as Fuli Bridge and Yu Long Bridge, as well as the ruins of Guiyi County. Among them, Xian Gui Bridge is the oldest stone arch bridge still existing in Guangxi.
