About The Cool Docks
The Old Pier is located at No. 505, Zhongshan South Road, Huangpu District, Shanghai. It is an AAA-level attraction. The original site of the old wharf was the Shanghai Fat Factory, which was once the warehouse of Shanghai tycoons Huang Jinrong and Du Yuesheng. The Old Wharf is an important part of the Shanghai Bund Creative Industrial Park built by Huangpu District. It was rated as one of the top ten creative industrial parks in 2008 and an industrial tourist attraction in Shanghai in 2009. The Old Wharf, the original Shiliupu, is home to many legendary stories about Shanghai. The Linjiang alleys and old-fashioned Shikumen communities here carry stories about Shanghai’s tycoons. Sit on the European-style terrace on the roof and watch the surging Huangpu River. The downstairs was once the warehouse of Huang Huangrong and Du Yuesheng.
