About Huizhou History Museum of Anhui
The Huizhou History Museum is located on the south side of Nanqiao Tower in the ancient city of Huizhou in She County, Huangshan City, Anhui Province. It was officially opened on September 12, 2021. The museum has a construction area of 11,436 square meters and a total investment of 129 million yuan. It has five themed exhibition halls: "Huizhou in the World", "Reminiscences of Huizhou", "Looking for Roots of Huizhou", "Huizhou in Autumn" and "Huizhou in Dreams". It displays 1,530 cultural relics, including 64 pieces (sets) of national first-class cultural relics such as imperial examination stone carvings of the Yuan Dynasty and gold ornaments of princesses of the Ming Dynasty. The collection of cultural relics exceeds 30,000, including 1,698 precious cultural relics (sets). Its predecessor was the Shexian Museum, which was planned to be built in 1958.
