About Chengkan
The Chengkan Scenic Area is located at No. 78 Baolun Road, Chengkan Town, Huizhou District, Huangshan City, Anhui Province. It is built facing the mountains and the river, with its western side facing east, overlooking Lingjin Mountain and backed by Geshan Mountain. It is renowned as “China’s Number One Village of Feng Shui,” “China’s Famous Historical and Cultural Village,” “China’s Home of Ancient Architecture,” “China’s Home of National Treasures,” and “China’s Best Tourist Town.” The Chengkan Scenic Area has a history spanning more than 1,800 years; during the late Tang Dynasty, the founding ancestors of the Luo clan—Wenchang Gong and Qiuyin Gong—fled from Nanchang, Jiangxi, to this location to escape the turmoil caused by Huang Chao.
