About XI'AN MUSEUM
Xi'an Museum is located at No. 72 Youyi West Road, Beilin District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province. It covers a total area of about 160,000 square meters and a building area of 16,000 square meters. It is affiliated to the Xi'an Municipal Cultural Relics Bureau. It is a local comprehensive museum integrating cultural relic collection, scientific research, social education, and garden leisure. On May 18, 2007, Xi'an Museum officially opened to the public. Xi'an Museum is composed of three parts: the museum, the ruins of Tang Jianfu Temple, and the Small Wild Goose Pagoda. As of the end of 2022, Xi'an Museum has a collection of 113,977 pieces/set, including 11,612 pieces/set of precious cultural relics. Xi'an Museum is a national first-class museum, a national AAAA tourist attraction, a national key protection unit for ancient books, and a national science education base.
