About The Great Bao'en Temple Ruins Museum 17

The Great Bao'en Temple Ruins Museum is located outside Zhonghuamen, Qinhuai District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province. It is the highest-standard, largest-scale, and best-preserved temple ruins in China. It is a state-owned archaeological ruins museum. It is a national 4A tourist attraction and a national first-class museum. Officially opened in 2015, the museum has an exhibition hall area of 33,278 square meters and a building construction area of 60,816 square meters. The museum was built based on the archaeological site of Dabaoen Temple in the Ming Dynasty. In the 10th year of Yongle, Emperor Chengzu of the Ming Dynasty expanded the site and built a large Baoen Temple and a nine-story glazed pagoda. The Dabaoen Glazed Pagoda is known as "China's great antique and Yongle's great kiln".
