About Yangdi Bamboo Pier
Yangdi Wharf is a tourist wharf located in the Li River Scenic Area in Yangshuo County, Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is an important starting point for rafting tours on the Li River. It mainly provides bamboo rafting services from Yangdi to Xingping Chaobanshan Wharf. This section is known as the highlight of the Li River scenery. In 2023, dredging operations were carried out in the dock basin. Its place name comes from the local "Yangti Mountain" that is shaped like a sheep's hoof, which is homophonic as "Yangdi" in Guilin dialect. In 1961, at the suggestion of Premier Zhou Enlai, a large number of bamboos were transplanted on both sides of the Li River, forming the landscape of "Yangdi Green Bamboo". In April 2021, General Secretary Xi Jinping visited Yangdi Wharf to inspect the comprehensive management and ecological protection of the Li River Basin.
