About Xingping Ancient Town
Xingping Ancient Town, located in Xingping Town, Yangshuo County, Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is a famous historical and cultural town in China and a national characteristic landscape tourism town. In 2022, it was included in the first batch of Guangxi's list of place-name cultural heritage Millennium Ancient Towns. The ancient town now has ancient streets, ancient bridges, ancient stages, ancient temples and other Ming and Qing dynasty buildings. The old street is about 1,000 meters long, extending from the southeast of the ancient town to Rongshutan and Xingping Pier, where provincial halls are located. The background pattern of the fifth set of RMB 20 yuan is based on the Yuanbaoshan landscape in Dahebei Village here. The ancient town was built in the first year of Wu Ganlu in the Three Kingdoms (265) and was the seat of Shang'an County.
