About Zhuangyuan Bridge
Zhuangyuan Bridge is an important historical and cultural relic in Lushan City, Jiangxi Province. The existing entities include the ancient bridge in front of Jiufeng Temple in Maweishui Scenic Area and the Bailudong Academy Stone Bridge, two landmarks that carry the imperial examination culture. Among them, the Zhuangyuan Bridge in front of Jiufeng Temple in Maweishui Scenic Area is also known as the Qingsheng Bridge. It was built in the ninth year of Qianlong's reign (1744) in the Qing Dynasty. It was supervised by Jiujiang Pass and Tang Ying donated his salary. It was named Zhuangyuan Bridge because his son Tang Yinbao, a Jinshi in the sixth year of Qianlong's reign (1741), assisted in the construction of the bridge. The arched stone bridge over the Panchi of Bailu Cave Academy was originally named Pan Bridge and is now named Zhuangyuan Bridge.
