About Motianling
Motian Ridge (English name: Motian Ridge) is located at the junction of Wenxian County in Gansu Province and Qingchuan and Pingwu Counties in Sichuan Province. It straddles the junction of the three provinces of Shaanxi, Gansu and Sichuan. It belongs to the Micang Mountain System in the western section of Daba Mountain and is connected to Micang Mountain in the west. This area is located at the intersection of three major terrains: the Qinba Mountains, the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and the Loess Plateau. The geological structure is dominated by compound anticlines, including secondary structures such as the Bikou uplift compound anticline and the Xuebaoding-Huanglong fold belt. The northwest slope of the mountain is gentle, and the south side is a cliff, forming a natural barrier.
