About Former Residence of Bai Chongxi
Bai Chongxi's former residence is the two former residences of Bai Chongxi, a first-class army general of the Kuomintang. They are located in Shanwei Village, Huixian Town, Lingui District, Guilin City, Guangxi, and in the Ronghu Hotel at No. 16 Ronghu North Road, Xiufeng District. The former residence of Shanwei Village was built in 1929 and adopts Chinese and Western architectural styles. It covers an area of about 1,000 square meters and consists of the main building and the attached courtyard. It was listed as a cultural relic protection unit of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on December 8, 2017. The opening hours are 9:00-18:00 throughout the year; the former residence in Ronghu Hotel is now part of the hotel. The former residence of Shanwei Village originally included the ancestral residence and the manor that was added in 1929.
