About Sanjiang Drum Tower
Sanjiang Drum Tower, located in Duoye Square, Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County, Guangxi, was built in November 2002 by a team of folk building and bridge masters headed by the famous local Dong folk craftsman Yang Siyu. It integrates multiple functions such as culture, viewing, and tourism. Sanjiang Drum Tower is 42.6 meters high, with a total of 60 pillars touching the ground, covering an area of 600 square meters. There are 27 floors of tile eaves in the Drum Tower. Except for the two floors on the roof, the other 25 floors of tiles are divided at equal distances and tightened layer by layer, making the floor pyramid-shaped, looking dignified and stable. The eaves corners of each floor are light and warped, and the exquisite carvings and bright eaves paintings are in sharp contrast with the huge and rough building body.
