About Tunnel Hill Scenic Area
Chuanshan Rock is a cave located on Chuanshan Mountain in Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It was formed 34,000 years ago and was accidentally discovered in 1979 when excavating a combat air-raid shelter. It has a total length of 517 meters and a travel distance of 248 meters. It is located in the karst cave group from Guilin City to Yangshuo County. The cave is dominated by karst landscapes such as stalactites, stalagmites, stone mantles, and stone shields. Their formation is due to the long-term dissolution of limestone by groundwater. The "living cave landscape" with the continuous development of stalactites can still be seen in the cave. The temperature inside the cave remains at around 22°C all year round, which is warm in winter and cool in summer. Reopened after upgrades.
