About Pukou Railway Station Former Site
The former site of Pukou Railway Station is located in Pukou District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province. It was built in the 34th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1908). It covers an area of 20 hectares. It is listed as the nine most artistic railway stations in China and is a national key cultural relic protection unit. In the third year of the Republic of China (1914), Pukou Railway Station was officially opened for operation. It was an important transportation hub connecting 11 provinces including Pingjin, Hebei, Shandong, Henan, and Anhui.
