About Five caves
Wudongtian is an important node on the core tourist route of the front mountain of Qingcheng Mountain. It is located on the ancient hiking trail between the Natural Picture Gallery and Changdao Temple (Tianshi Cave). As the core exhibition area of Taoism's "Fifth Largest Cave of Baoxian Nine Chambers of Heaven" (its name originates from the concept of "Nine Chambers of Baoxian Heaven" recorded in "Taoji Jing"), it carries the cultural connotation of Qingcheng Mountain as the birthplace of Taoism. This scenic spot is not a natural cave, but an entrance sign that Taoists regard Qingcheng Mountain as the "Fifth Cave Heaven". It is surrounded by archways, stone steps and ancient trees. The environment with towering ancient trees and the palaces rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty form a profound artistic conception.
