About Guanqian Street
Guanqian Street is located in Gusu District, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It starts from Linton Road in the east and ends at Renmin Road in the west. The main street is 780 meters long. It is named after the Xuanmiao Temple built in the second year of Xianning (276 AD) in the Western Jin Dynasty. With Xuanmiao Temple as the core, the street uses the principle of "complementary Confucianism and Taoism" to set up a vendor market on the east side of the palace lane corresponding to Beiju Square, forming a three-point symmetrical layout in conjunction with Xuanmiao Temple Square. The building is small in size, with gentle contours, and the main colors are black, white, and gray, supplemented by traditional garden-style lamps and native green plants. The commercial functions of the neighborhood are clearly divided.
