About Song Bin Tang
Songbin Hall is the core building of Rongshi Plum Garden in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. Its main body is an early Qing Dynasty building. In 1915, Rong Desheng purchased the nanmu main hall of the Qin family's old house in Hudai, Xixiang, Wuxi. The whole hall was moved to Meiyuan and completed in 1916. The hall is named after "The Book of Songs: Bin Feng", which reflects the connotation of farming culture. The name of the hall was chosen by Rong Desheng, which shows that he does not forget the thought of farming and people's livelihood based on food and clothing. Some of the wooden components of the building are made of high-quality nanmu, commonly known as "Phoebe Hall". The building faces north and faces south, with nine rooms in width, forming a north-south axis with Xianghaixuan.
