About Yang Ou Fang Temple
Yang Oufang Ancestral Hall is located in Xiahetang, Huishan Ancient Town, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. It was built in 1911 (some say 1921). It is part of the ancestral hall group of Huishan Ancient Town and is now a national key cultural relic protection unit. The temple is built with exposed brick walls, and its main body is a Western-style structure. The facade combines the Baroque-style arc-shaped arch with the traditional "Guanyin pocket" volcanic wall, forming a combination of Chinese and Western features. The temple retains the layout of a brick and wooden quadrangle, with Baroque-style columns in the hall. It exhibits the history of the Yang family, Wuxi's early national industrial product trademarks, etc., and also has an immersive viewing area. Its architectural style is in overall harmony with the surrounding ancestral halls.
