About Sun Dazong's ancestral hall
Sun Dazong's Ancestral Hall is located in the West Wing of Baoshan Bridge, the core area of Huishan Ancient Town, Wuli, west of Wuxi City. Its specific address is No. 26 Shanghetang, Liangxi District, Wuxi City. It was built in the 53rd year of Qianlong (1788). The building faces south from the north, facing Huishanbang, a tributary of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. The ancestral hall was originally large, covering an area of 1,313 square meters. It was destroyed in the 10th year of Xianfeng (1860), and the first gate was rebuilt in the 2nd year of Guangxu (1876). Today it is preserved in the first door; the wooden door head and corridor pavilion, and the moon beam are still intact.
