About Xu Xianmo Temple
Xu Xianmo Temple is an immovable cultural relic of Jiangsu Province. It was built in the 37th year of Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty. It was built by his descendants Xu Dai, Xu Song and others. It was originally a hard-top building with two entrances along the way, four rooms wide and a volcanic wall. The existing main body consists of the first three rooms and two verandahs. During the renovation in 2008, seven outer corridors were added. The Xiaode Hall and the Pagoda Courtyard were originally built in the temple. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the second building was demolished when it was used by the troops stationed in Xi'an. This temple is dedicated to Xu Dezhi, a scholar of Xianmo Pavilion in Zhuguo of Song Dynasty. Xu Dezhi was a Jinshi in the Northern Song Dynasty.
