About HUAXIBA
Huaxi Dam is located on the south bank of Jinjiang River in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, starting from Renmin South Road in the east and Jiangxi Street in the west, covering an area of about 1.4 square kilometers. The place is named after the West China Union University founded by the Christian Churches of Britain, the United States and Canada in 1905. The existing building complex was designed by the British architect Frederic Jonduy. It uses Chinese elements such as blue bricks and black tiles and gable-style roofs. The interior is a Western-style structure, forming a combination of Chinese and Western styles.
