About Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center
Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center is located at No. 12, Xinhui Road, Shinan District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province. It covers an area of approximately 45 hectares, including 30 hectares of venue area and 15 hectares of post-game development area, with a total construction area of approximately 138,000 square meters. On the afternoon of May 25, 2003, Qingdao held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center for the 29th Olympic Games. On June 30, 2006, all essential projects of Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center were completed. In 2007, the construction of the Olympic Sailing Center progressed smoothly, and the venue construction was completed by the end of the year. All necessary facilities for the Olympic sailing competition at the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center are located in the venue area.
