About Peach Blossom Fan Pavilion
Peach Blossom Fan Pavilion is located on the west side of Peach Blossom Stream in Qixia Mountain, Nanjing City. It is a brick and wood structure imitating the architecture of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, with white walls, black tiles and cornices. The pavilion was built in 1980 and was located near the Baozhen Nunnery site. The pavilion was named after the legendary play "The Peach Blossom Fan" written by Kong Shangren in the Qing Dynasty, echoing the literary allusion in the play that Li Xiangjun became a monk in Qixia Mountain. The main body of the building has a fan-shaped layout, with fan-shaped windows on the back wall. The door and window frames are made of black wood and decorated with small windows in the shape of peach blossom petals, which serve the functions of landscape viewing and tourist rest.
