About Tomb of Fan Hongxian

Fan Hongxian's tomb is located on the east slope of the east horse waist of Zhongshan Cemetery in Nanjing City. The original tomb was very large, including archways, tomb passages, sacrificial halls, stele pavilions, etc., which were destroyed during the Anti-Japanese War. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, it was rebuilt on the original site. The tomb is rectangular. In front of the tomb is a tombstone about 1.5 meters high, with seven gilt characters "Tomb of General Fan Hongxian" engraved on it. Fan Hongxian's tomb was completely destroyed during the ten years of turmoil. On October 21, 1972, the State Council instructed the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government to proceed with the restoration of Fan's Tomb. At the same time, the remains of Mrs. Fan and old alliance member Li Zhenru were moved from the Tangshan grave to be buried together.
