About Yuwang Pavilion
The Yuwang Pavilion Museum is a national AAA-level tourist attraction located 3 kilometers northwest of Yucheng City, Shandong Province. It covers an area of 136 acres and consists of the Yuwang Hall, the East and West Side Halls, Juqiu Ruins, Bell and Drum Towers, Yuwang Pavilion and Yuwang Lake. It integrates cultural relic protection, academic research and tourism functions. The museum is free and open from 8:30 to 17:30. It is closed every Monday (except for national statutory holidays or special circumstances). Its history can be traced back to the time before the Tang Dynasty when people filled up the soil in Juqiu Mountain to build a thatched pavilion to worship King Yu. In the 50th year of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, it was expanded and renamed the Pavilion of King Yu. Emperor Qianlong once inscribed a plaque on the mountain gate.
