About Xingguo temple
Xingguo Temple, also known as Xingguo Temple, is located in Qianfoshan Scenic Area, No. 18, Jingshi Road, Lixia District, Jinan City. It was built during the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty (627-649) and is known as the first temple of Qianfoshan. After the expansion in the Song Dynasty, the main buildings such as the Main Hall and the Tianwang Hall were rebuilt in the fourth year of Chenghua in the Ming Dynasty (1468). The existing layout was mainly formed during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The temple is built on the mountain and is divided into four courtyards with a total of seven halls. As the main building complex of Qianfo Mountain, it includes core buildings such as the Main Hall and the Guanyin Hall. The temple contains more than 130 statues of the Thousand Buddha Cliff Grottoes carved from the Sui Dynasty to the Tang Dynasty.
