About Lishan Yard
Qianfo Mountain was called Li Mountain in ancient times. According to legend, Emperor Shun in ancient times once opened up wasteland and farmed at the foot of the mountain. In order to carry forward Shun's culture, there is a courtyard halfway up the mountain called "Lishan Courtyard". Lishan Courtyard is located on the east side of Xingguo Zen Temple, also known as the East Temple. It is a rectangular courtyard covering an area of about 3,000 square meters. It was originally a courtyard where Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism co-existed. There were Shun Temple, Luban Temple, Sansheng Temple, Yilan Pavilion and other buildings in the courtyard. The three characters "Lishan Courtyard" on the forehead are collected from the Qianlong Imperial Monument. Lishan Courtyard is said to have been built in the Ming Dynasty.
