About Wide and Narrow Street
Kuanzhai Alley is located in the west section of Shudu Avenue, Shaocheng Area, Qingyang District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. Kuanzhai Alley was once built all over the city by Nian Gengyao. In 2003, the main reconstruction project of Chengdu Kuanzhai Alley Historical and Cultural Area was established. On June 14, 2008, Kuanzhai Alley was opened to the public. Kuanzhai Alley consists of three old-fashioned streets, namely Kuan Alley, Narrow Alley and Jing Alley, and the courtyard complex between them. It contains about 70 traditional courtyard courtyards and covers an area of about 32 hectares. The planning and control area of cultural and leisure characteristic blocks is 479 acres, including 108 acres of core protection areas.
