About Rongxiang Early Modern Architectural Complex
The modern building complex of Rongxiang is located in the Rongxiang historical district of Binhu District, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. It is a provincial cultural relic protection unit. The building complex was formed from the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China. There are now more than 100 groups of nearly 200 buildings, represented by the former residence of Rong Desheng, the Grand Duke Library, the Roulette Building, and the Qingyu Playground. Most of these buildings were built by the Rong family, with a combination of Chinese and Western styles. They are historical witnesses of the development of local national industry and commerce.
