About Binggou Grand Canyon
Binggou Grand Canyon is located in the south of Taole County, 40 kilometers away from Yinchuan. It is a natural flood discharge ditch running east-west, winding for more than ten kilometers and covering an area of more than 20,000 acres. Its name comes from the history of military garrisoning during the Qin and Han Dynasties. It has crisscrossed ravines, retains the original landform, and has springs such as Pearl Spring. Meng Tian of the Qin Dynasty built the fortress Hunhuaibao near Binggou in 214 BC. Nearby is the largest group of Han Dynasty tombs in Ningxia. The core tourism resources are summarized as "one barrier, two tombs, three rivers, four sands and five grains". Film and television crews such as "He Lan Xue" and "Jedi Wolf" have filmed here. It is open for tourism and adventure from 9:00 to 18:00 every day.
