About Huiquan Plaza
Huiquan Plaza is located on the south and north sides of the middle section of Wendeng Road, Shinan District, Qingdao City, covering an area of 134,300 square meters. It is a large public leisure square in Qingdao. The north square is mainly open lawn, planted with American autumn red maples, metasequoia and other vegetation, forming a multi-layered landscape, which is the main place for citizens to fly kites. The south square once had the largest computer music fountain in China at the time (the pool was 100 meters long and 30 meters wide, symbolizing the 100th anniversary of the founding of Qingdao) and a 36.5-meter-high triangular glass sculpture. Both were demolished in 2005 during the second phase of the Huiquan Plaza renovation. There is Huiquan Dynasty Hotel on the southwest side of the square.
