About Lingshan Island Scenic Area
Lingshan Island is located in Lingshan Bay in the southeast of Huangdao District, Qingdao City, opposite Dazhu Mountain. It is the third highest island in China. It is 5.7 nautical miles away from the closest point to the mainland, covering an area of 7.66 square kilometers, and the main peak is 513.6 meters above sea level. There are 12 natural villages on the island. "Jiaoao Zhi" calls it "Shuilingshan Island". The ancient "Jiaozhou Chronicles" said that "the sun rises first and the rain clouds, so it is named Lingshan." Lingshan Island has been famous for its beautiful scenery and detachment from the hustle and bustle of the city since ancient times. As one of the "Eight Scenic Spots of Jiaozhou" in ancient times, local chronicles record that Lingshan Island is "beautifully embedded with dew and carvings, just like a painting screen, standing on a huge lake.
