About water hole

The water tunnel (foreign name: watertunnel) is a hydrodynamics experimental equipment, mainly used to study fluid mechanics phenomena such as boundary layers, wakes, turbulence, and cavitation. It can also be used to study the forces between water flow and objects and hydroelasticity. Its core structure is a water circulation system that can control flow rate and pressure. The cross-section of the test section can be circular, square or rectangular, and is equipped with multi-directional observation windows. The working principle is similar to that of a recirculating wind tunnel that uses water as the working medium. It uses a water pump to drive water flow for experiments. It was first built in 1896 by C.A. Parsons of the United Kingdom.
