About natural monument

The Natural Monument is an iconic geological landscape located in the Laoshan Jufeng Tourist Area in Qingdao City, Shandong Province. It is a giant stone peak about 40 meters high. When viewed from south to north, it looks like a natural stone monument, hence the name Natural Monument. It is located at the southern foot of Mount Laoshan, where one must pass when climbing giant peaks, and south of Bigogu. It is in the middle of the geological science corridor, connecting Limen and the "No. 1 Famous Mountain on the Sea" viewing platform. This landscape was formed by the erosion of ancient glaciers and is a typical pictographic stone formed by weathering and erosion of Laoshan granite. As the core node of the Baguamen route around the giant peaks of Laoshan Mountain, the natural monument is listed as an important attraction in the official tour guide system of the scenic spot.
