The Golden Toad Stone is an important attraction in the Wuyi Palace-Dawang Peak Scenic Area. It is located on the south wall of Dawang Peak in Wuyi Mountain and next to Zhangxiandong. The rock's name comes from local folklore. Legend has it that a woodcutter once saw a golden toad perched on a rock and looked up at the Taoist priest Zhang Gai who was practicing here, so it was named "Golden Toad Stone".
