About Jinyequan

Jinye Spring is a spring located under the blue rock behind the Jade Emperor Hall of Hualou Palace. It is named after the three characters "Jinye Spring" engraved by Qiu Chuji on the rock. The spring water never dries up or overflows, and has a very sweet taste. Jinyequan is also the object of chanting in ancient poems, such as the seven-character quatrain "Jinyequan" written by Wang Sicheng, the Minister of Rites of the Yuan Dynasty, and the poem "Jinyequan" in "Six Odes of Yunqi" written by Peng Sunyi in the Ming Dynasty. Jinye Spring appeared as a poetic title in the Yuan and Ming Dynasties, and related poems described the mountain spring scenery.
