About Ruins of Liantai Temple
The Liantai Temple ruins are located on the south side of Huaixin Highway, 5 kilometers west of Huaibin County, Henan Province, and belong to Taitou Village, Taitou Township. The site was discovered during the cultural relics survey in 1984 and is a late Neolithic site. The site is a platform with a thick cultural layer and many ground relics, including ground stone tools, bone tools, pottery, clam shells, animal bones, etc. The pottery is mainly muddy gray pottery with sand and black pottery. The site was announced as a county-level key cultural relics protection unit in 1989, and later announced as a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit by the Henan Provincial People's Government in June 2006. The protection is still good.
