About Ciguang Cave
Ciguang Cave is an oval stone cave attraction in the Laoshan Giant Peak Tourist Area in Qingdao, Shandong Province, located on the southwest side of the natural monument. The cave is oval in shape, about 2 meters high and 1.5 meters wide, and can accommodate several people. The name of the cave "Ci Guang Cave" and the Qi Jue poems engraved on the cave wall were all handwritten and inscribed by Master Hanshan, an eminent monk in the Ming Dynasty, which means "the brilliance of the Empress Dowager Cisheng shines on the cave". Master Hanshan once meditated here during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. The cave is now an attraction on the small loop line of Jufeng Tourist Area, and was listed as a district-level cultural relic protection unit in Laoshan District in 2008.
