About Xiyangshi
Xiyang Market is a traditional market in Xi'an with a history of more than 600 years. Its history can be traced back to the sheep and livestock trading market in the Yuan Dynasty. The street is located in the core area of Huiminfang north of Drum Tower, with a total length of more than 400 meters, connecting Beiyuanmen to the east and Beiguangji Street to the west. The existing area is divided into the tourist and commercial area in the east section and the aboriginal living area in the west section, retaining Islamic cultural traditions and architectural styles of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. As a gathering place for snacks in Xi'an, the street gathers dozens of special delicacies such as beef and mutton steamed buns and cured meat buns, forming a tourism positioning of "a street with ethnic customs".
