About Qingzhou Wannian Bridge
Qingzhou Wannian Bridge, commonly known as the North Bridge, is located outside the north gate of the ancient Nanyang City. It was first built during the Mingdao period of Renzong of the Song Dynasty (1032-1033). It was originally a beam-and-post wooden bridge, and was later rebuilt into a column-less single-arch wooden structure Hong Bridge. It is said to be the prototype of the Hong Bridge in "Along the River During the Qingming Festival". The bridge is a provincial cultural relic protection unit in Shandong Province. In the 22nd year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1594), Wei Yifeng, the prefect, presided over the reconstruction of the bridge into a seven-hole stone interconnected arch bridge and renamed Wannian Bridge. The bridge is 65.3 meters long, 8 meters wide and 7.9 meters high.
