About Qinyan Tower

Qinyan Tower is located on the top of Yulei Mountain on the east bank of the Minjiang River in the Qingcheng Mountain Dujiangyan Scenic Area in Dujiangyan City, Sichuan Province. It is named after the Dujiangyan water conservancy project was first built in the Qin Dynasty. The building is a modern antique pavilion built in the 1990s. Its structure is in harmony with the style of the Erwang Temple ancient building complex. In 2000, it was included in the Qingcheng Mountain Dujiangyan World Heritage List as a non-cultural relic building. This place was formerly known as the "Observation Deck" (also known as the "Happiness Deck"). In 1958, Mao Zedong inspected the panoramic view of Dujiangyan from this location. Relevant historical photos are now in Fulong Temple and Erwang Temple.
