About Xietang Old Street
Xietang Old Street is located on the Xietang River east of Jinji Lake in Suzhou Industrial Park. It is a commercial district featuring cultural tourism and rich in Jiangnan water town home memories and humanistic sentiments. It was rebuilt on the original site of Xietang Town with a history of more than 760 years. At the beginning of the planning, its historical evolution and customs were deeply excavated. Through the planning and design of antique buildings, Soviet-style gardens, green gardening, leisure formats, etc., it organically integrated traditional humanities and modern commerce to create a fashionable leisure block integrating catering, shopping, entertainment, culture and other functions. With the Xietang River as its main axis, Xietang Old Street is about 1,000 meters long from east to west and 150 meters wide from north to south. It covers an area of about 16 hectares.
