About Jingyuantang

Wuhou Shrine is located at No. 231 Wuhou Street, Wuhou District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. It is a temple commemorating Liu Bei, Zhuge Liang and other Shu Han heroes. It was developed based on the location of Liu Bei's mausoleum (Huiling). Xiao Daocheng (reigned 479-482), the Emperor of the Southern Qi Dynasty, ordered Fu Yan, the governor, to build the Temple of the First Lord, located in the east of Huiling, which should be the predecessor of the Zhaolie Temple of the present Han Dynasty. Next to Huiling Mausoleum, there is a special temple to commemorate Zhuge Liang - Wuhou Temple, which was built around the Northern and Southern Dynasties. In the 24th year of Hongwu's reign in the Ming Dynasty (1391), Zhu Chun, the king of Shu in the Ming Dynasty, advocated that "the emperor and his ministers should be integrated into one body".
