About Chen's old house
Chen's old house is located at No. 32 Dexing Lane, Liangxi District, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. It was built by Chen, a businessman during the Republic of China. It consists of two buildings and a patio garden wall. In 2003, it was announced by the Wuxi Municipal People's Government as a cultural relic protection unit in Wuxi. The existing building includes the main building and garden, which is a typical old foreign-style house in the Republic of China period. The front building of the building is a three-story structure with stone steps, Western-style wooden stairs and screen doors. The back building was originally a restaurant, kitchen and warehouse.
